EDF Renewables Brazil is elected as a member of the Board of Directors of ABEEólica
Rio de Janeiro, April 27th, 2023 – The vice president of EDF Renewables Brazil, Raíssa Cafure Lafranque, was elected member of the Board of Directors of ABEEólica, for the 2023/2025 biennium, in the “Developers and Investors” category. The nomination is an important achievement, which ratifies the company’s commitment to the country, aiming at building a sustainable long-term framework.
“Brazil has enormous energy potential and everything it needs to become a global leader in the energy transition. On the board, I hope to bring the vision and expertise of EDF Renewables to help in the sustainable growth of the onshore and offshore chains, in addition to contributing to a more diverse environment, increasing the female presence”, says Raíssa.
In the energy sector for more than ten years, the executive acts directly in the feasibility of projects, in addition to leading the structuring of new technologies in Brazil, such as offshore wind and green hydrogen. As ABEEólica’s advisor, Raíssa plays a fundamental role in the association’s decision-making, such as the definition of policies, plans, goals and strategies. This is the first participation of EDF Renewables in the ABEEólica council.
