
Pirapora Photovoltaic Plants
EDF power solutions was one of the pioneers in the solar market in Brazil. The company acquired the Greenfied project with PPA consisting of: Pirapora Phase 1 (191 MWp) in 2016, and Pirapora Phase 2 (115 MWp) and 3 (93 MWp) in 2017. EDF power solutions took the lead in the construction, financing and operation of all phases.
The Pirapora Complex is located in southeastern Brazil, in the state of Minas Gerais. Pirapora Photovoltaic Power Plants has a gross capacity of 400 MWp and represents one of the largest solar complexes in South America. The solar energy generated is fully contracted through 20-year energy purchase agreements. The complex was financed by BNDES and BNB.
