Pirapora Photovoltaic Plants
EDF Renewables was one of the pioneers in the solar market in Brazil. The company acquired the Greenfied project with PPA consisting of: Pirapora Phase 1 (191 MWp) in 2016, and Pirapora Phase 2 (115 MWp) and 3 (93 MWp) in 2017. EDF Renewables took the lead in the construction, financing and operation of all phases.
The Pirapora Complex is located in southeastern Brazil, in the state of Minas Gerais. Pirapora Photovoltaic Power Plants has a gross capacity of 400 MWp and represents one of the largest solar complexes in South America. The solar energy generated is fully contracted through 20-year energy purchase agreements.
