Employee training is a priority at EDF Renewables
In order to increasingly develop its employees, EDF Renewables promotes various training courses to train and foster cooperation between teams, creating an even more collaborative environment, in addition to developing the team professionally and personally.
Among the latest training courses developed by the company are Competitive Negotiation and Collaborative Negotiation. In this last training, based on the sharing of concepts, techniques and group dynamics, the meeting enabled for eventual scenarios of negotiations and meetings in the day-to-day work with effective communication and greater empathy in argumentation. The training allowed participants to identify their type of communication, shared the rule of the 5 c’s, as well as the concept of empathy applied to argumentation, argumentation framework for engagement and the Harvard method of negotiation.
This topic is extremely relevant for team development, contributing to the construction of healthier relationships, conflict resolution in a constructive way, and reaching beneficial agreements for all parties.
In addition, with a focus on managers, LideRE is developed, a program that seeks to train coordinators, managers and directors through training that addresses the different roles of a leader. Improving leadership skills and exchanging knowledge among participants are just some of the benefits of the initiative that, in each edition, works on different topics, such as People Management, Workload Reduction, Powerful Conversations and Leader of the Future. In this way, it is possible to work on essential topics for the development of effective leaders.
Manager Assimilation, on the other hand, is the program aimed at managers who have recently arrived in the company or who have been promoted. It aims to support new leaders in their roles and in people management, providing moments of exchange with teams.
For young talents, the company offers training that encourages the development of interpersonal skills. Interns participate in workshops with different themes that seek to contribute to their professional paths: professional self-knowledge, time management, emotional intelligence and assertive communication are some of them.
