Serra do Seridó Wind Farm starts the Call for Sustainable Agriculture Projects in the Brazilian Semi-arid Region
To promote the sustainable development of family farming, the Serra do Seridó Wind Farm started the cycle of Public Notice for Sustainable Agriculture Projects in the Brazilian Semi-arid Region. The initiative aims to boost family rural production, expand income generation, strengthen the quality of life and stability of the communities in the area of influence of the project.
The project has already held three workshops, which addressed topics such as family organic farming, rural production and water management in the semi-arid region, as well as content on the development of community projects.
The workshops also promoted the exchange of knowledge and cultures, integrating different experiences and realities, even in regions with similar characteristics, paving the way for new opportunities for feasible and viable actions in a short period of time. The initiative will also train participants to develop their own community projects.
