Good practices for the wind sector
In order to reinforce its commitments to the ESG pillars, EDF Renewables contributed to the creation of the Guide to Good Socio-Environmental Practices of the Brazilian Wind Energy Association.
The document was launched during the 1st edition of ESG Day, an online event sponsored by the company and promoted by the association to discuss and disseminate topics related to the acronym. The guide was prepared based on a diagnosis carried out over six months and seeks to bring together the best actions taken by the 17 companies that co-created the material, with a list of recommendations for developing, implementing and operating wind farms.
With the launch of the new material, it will be possible to promote a better relationship with different stakeholders – residents of communities neighboring the projects, non-governmental organizations, public authorities, among others – and, above all, increase the sector’s commitment to a fair energy transition, carried out in a respectful, transparent and in harmony with society and the environment.
